Founded in 1849, the Royal West of England Academy was previously known as the Bristol Society of Artists and later granted the title of “Royal”by King George V. The Royal West of England Academy has two open exhibitions per year: the Summer Exhibition and the Autumn Exhibition. The Summer Exhibition is an exhibition rotating the disciplines of Sculpture, Painting, Photography and Printmaking; the Autumn Exhibition has a long history, accepting all types of artworks and open for contemporary artists both nationally and internationally.- Summary of Venue: Bristol, UK
