Congratulations to Professor Lee Sun-Don and Ma Sing Ling!
With their works being selected into the 125th Annual Exhibition hosted by The Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) in UK
- The first Asian artist ever invited to hold a solo oil painting exhibition at the Venice Biennale Lee Sun-Don and the first Asian female art trio Ma Sing Ling – both represented by X-Power Gallery – were notified that their artworks have been selected into the 125th Annual Exhibition of The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, United Kingdom.
Founded in 1882 in London, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, also known as the ROI, was granted the royal status by King Edward VII in 1909, showing its importance in the field of oil painting. Of 130 years history, ROI's annual exhibition is open to the general submission, and artists who have shown sufficient merits may be elected as associate members for a maximum period of five years in which they illustrate their suitability to be elected for full memmbership by existing members. The Institute is confined to about 65 elected members, which speaks to how strict the selection criteria are.
Selected Artworks:
Lee Sun-Don
Vision/Golden Woods
Vision / The Home of Prosperity beyond the World
Ma Sing Ling :
